Apple’s SkillBridge Fellowship Program offers transitioning service members a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in a dynamic, corporate environment during their final six months of military service. Through this full-time fellowship, participants gain exposure to the rhythm and culture at Apple, while building professional relationships, refining their civilian workplace skills, and contributing to impactful projects in a supportive setting.Fellows are embedded within teams and given access to training and networking opportunities designed to help them navigate the transition from military to civilian careers with confidence. The program is structured to offer a meaningful, real-world experience that complements their military background and prepares them for future career success in the private sector.

In this role, you will be highly involved in driving design data quality and algorithm performance to develop our next generation of Health, Fitness, and Wellness features. This includes evaluating large user study datasets, design reviews, algorithm testing, bug reporting and triaging. Key responsibilities of this role are: Challenge the design and implementation of the algorithm. Design and perform analytics for algorithm verification and validation. Create automated monitoring and quality assurance metrics to constantly track feature performance. Profile, process, and evaluate large structured and unstructured datasets. Participate and present in user study review, code review, and data review. Communicate with upstream (e.g. hardware) and downstream (e.g. app) stakeholders to drive end-to-enduser experience of the feature.Minimum Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other related discipline• Coding proficiency in Python and/or Matlab• Familiarity testing hardware and/or testing software(including designing, implementing and executing testplans) is a plus.Preferred Qualifications• Background in one or more of the following domains:time-series analysis, signal processing, sensor fusion, statistics, health & fitness. Familiarity with data analysis, data visualization, and reporting. Familiarity building data pipelines for large-scale data processing. Detail-oriented, bug finding / triaging ability, investigate & debug issues, and drive solutions to difficult problems. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, self-motivated, laser-focused, and solution-oriented.
