***Data Science Internship*** Physicians Mutual is looking for students with a desire to work with emerging technology. We will be providing interns a role that will deliver on the job training, mentorship and guidance. As an intern you will be assigned to a team, which owns the development and maintenance of our production systems. These teams are following the Agile/Scrum methodology with a focus on the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).

ABOUT THE JOB

Job RequirementsEnrolled in and/or recently graduated with a Data Science degree within the past 12 months.Strong interest in data science / data analytics. PreferredPursuing MS degree in Data ScienceKnowledge of Python programmingKnowledge of Machine Learning AlgorithmsUnderstanding of Agile Methodologies.Theoretical knowledge of Snowflake Cloud.Understanding of modern cloud technologies is a plusKnowledge of SQLInsurance Industry a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assigned to a team responsible for the development and maintenance of production systems
• Follow Agile/Scrum methodology with a focus on the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

QUALIFICATIONS

• Enrolled in or recently graduated with a Data Science degree within the past 12 months
• Strong interest in data science / data analytics
• Pursuing MS degree in Data Science (preferred)
• Knowledge of Python programming
• Knowledge of Machine Learning Algorithms
• Understanding of Agile Methodologies
• Theoretical knowledge of Snowflake Cloud
• Understanding of modern cloud technologies (plus)
• Knowledge of SQL
• Experience in the Insurance Industry (plus)
