Through the DoD SkillBridge program, Nutanix is offering a People Brand Intern opportunity to support internal and external campaigns that engage, inform, and attract talent. Whether your background is in public affairs, HR, or administration, this internship provides real-world experience in content creation and project execution across the employee lifecycle—from recruitment marketing to internal storytelling.You’ll help bring our employee value proposition to life and ensure consistent messaging across channels—from career sites and social media to onboarding emails and cultural campaigns.About the TeamThe People Brand team operates at the intersection of communications, culture, and brand—supporting both talent attraction and employee engagement strategies at Nutanix. We collaborate with Talent Acquisition, DEIB, Internal Comms, and People Development to build clear, creative, human-first messaging that connects people to our mission, values, and opportunities.This role reports to the Senior Manager, Global People Brand, and supports a distributed team that values creativity, consistency, and collaboration. We’re remote-friendly and passionate about mentoring the next generation of communications professionals.Your RoleWrite and edit compelling copy for internal and external audiences, including employees, job seekers, and hiring managers.Support storytelling across email, Slack, intranet, LinkedIn, career sites, and campaign landing pages.Coordinate timelines, reviews, and deliverables across multiple communication projects.Manage content calendars and workflow systems (Wrike, Smartsheet, SharePoint).Help craft messaging for key initiatives like onboarding, employee programs, employer brand campaigns, and talent outreach.Support social content planning and execution with a recruitment marketing lens.Learn to use tools like Populo, Slack, Outlook, and Canva to distribute content and track performance.Join brainstorms, campaign kickoffs, and comms reviews to contribute creative ideas.Military Experience That AlignsIdeal for service members with experience in:Public Affairs / Mass Communications (46Q, 3N0X6, MC, 4341, PA) – producing stories, managing internal news, and promoting your unit to internal and external audiences.Human Resources / Admin Support (42A, YN, 3S0X1) – managing communications, coordinating programs, and supporting internal workflows.Experience with social media, newsletters, event promotion, or command messaging.What You Will BringStrong writing and editing skills with attention to tone, clarity, and alignment.Experience managing multiple priorities and coordinating deliverables.Interest in employer branding, talent marketing, or employee engagement.Basic familiarity with project or content management tools—or a quick learner mentality.Passion for storytelling and a drive to make an impact through communication.A collaborative mindset and curiosity about the tech industry.Work ArrangementRemote or Hybrid (if near San Jose, CA or Durham, NC)
