Leave of Absence CoordinatorThe Leave of Absence Coordinator will assist the LOA team with all aspects of employee leave, including FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act), disability, job accommodations, state-mandated claims, and other types of leaves. Work in a team environment to assist in coordinating cases/claims. Performs exemplary customer service, assists our employees, works with HR business partners, and coordinates with the benefits team.
ABOUT THE JOB
Essential Functions• Assist with the entire leave process, from initial request to approval, tracking, and return to work. This involves ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations (FMLA, ADA, USERRA, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, etc.). • Staying abreast of changes in leave laws and regulations to ensure compliance as assigned through training modules or other trainings. • Serving as a point of contact for employees seeking information or assistance with leave-related issues. Providing guidance on eligibility, rights, responsibilities, and all aspects of return work for employees on leave.• Collaborating with leave specialists regarding contacting HR personnel, supervisors, and managers to manage all leave-related processes and reporting the status as needed while maintaining HIPAA standards.• Maintaining accurate records of employee leave, including documentation of requests, approvals, and any relevant medical certifications or documentation.• Assist LOA Specialists with managing accommodation requests related to disabilities or medical conditions, in compliance with the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) or similar laws.• Participate in review of processes with the LOA team to improve efficiency and enhance the overall leave management experience for employees and the organization.• Determine and generate appropriate and timely communications to comply with FMLA regulations and customer procedures.• Ensures leave information is updated in systems (SuccessFactors) and communicated to payroll promptly to reflect correct pay in the HRIS system (JDE) under the direction of LOA specialists.• Performs all other duties as assigned or required.Requirements • Minimum of 3 years’ general Human Resource experience • Strong verbal and written communication skills• Ability to multi-task and detailed oriented• Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and field teams• Ability to problem solve in developing and monitoring the effectiveness of programsHSEQ Compliance: All employees must adhere to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. This includes following safety protocols, maintaining environmental responsibility, and upholding quality standards in all tasks. QUALIFICATIONS
