Actuarial Associate - Product Management. This game changing career will give you the opportunity to be challenged with pricing and actively managing our Medicare Supplement line of business for Physicians Mutual. You will get to initiate, organize, direct and analyze actuarial work. In this role you will develop actuarial assumptions as well as direct, develop and maintain product pricing, profit studies, reserves, rate filings and related procedures. Must be able to compile and evaluate statistical data. Must have advanced understanding of actuarial concepts and insurance knowledge and the ability to apply these concepts to the work. Continues to actively pursue actuarial exams, unless otherwise approved.

ABOUT THE JOB

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science or related discipline. Completion of ASA is required. Ability to apply standard mathematical computations to a variety of assigned work projects. Strong Excel experience for mathematical modeling, statistical analysis, etc. Ability to logically present voluminous data in a concise, understandable format. Ability to perform several projects while maintaining rigid deadlines. Ability to prepare basic financial and statistical reports. Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to build, maintain, and upgrade financial models utilizing complex actuarial concepts. Familiarity and/or comfort with coding required. Preferred: Medicare Supplement pricing experience. Experience with running SQL queries. Insurance Industry Experience ALFA experience.
