Health, Safety, and Environmental Technician - Staffing Badging
As a Staffing Badge Technician / HSE Technician I at Worley, you will be an integral part of our site-based Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) team, supporting the safety and security of all personnel through effective badging operations and foundational HSE practices. This role ensures the management of access control systems and the promotion of a safe working environment through regular field engagement, audits, and administrative coordination. ABOUT THE JOB
Key ResponsibilitiesBadge Administration and Access ControlServe as the primary point of contact for all badging-related activities, including issuing, renewing, and retrieving staff badges.Capture photographs, collect necessary identification and documentation, and maintain confidential and accurate records.Manage access permissions using biometric and electronic access systems, modifying access levels as needed based on project or role requirements.Monitor badge activity and security alerts to ensure controlled site access and respond promptly to access-related issues.HSE Field Support and CoachingProvide site-level safety support through regular field visits, coaching, and observation to promote safe behaviors and compliance with site procedures.Conduct routine safety audits and inspections, documenting findings and assisting in corrective actions.Support new employee onboarding with HSE orientation, ensuring all personnel understand site safety expectations and access protocols.Incident Response and ReportingAssist in the reporting and preliminary investigation of workplace incidents or injuries, maintaining documentation in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements.Operate access control and safety-related systems (such as fire alarms) and contribute to emergency response coordination.Communication and Customer ServiceRespond to inquiries regarding access, safety, or general site information through phone, email, and in-person interactions.Assist with the planning and execution of special events requiring temporary access or modified security arrangements.Participate in safety and security meetings, providing input on continuous improvement and assisting in communication of updates to the site team.Qualifications / SkillsetCompletion of technical school or equivalent combination of education, on-the-job training, and experience in HSE, security, facilities, or administrative operations.Foundational understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations, practices, and incident response procedures.Experience working with access control systems, biometric enrollment, or similar tools is beneficial.Ability to perform work with accuracy and attention to detail, maintaining confidential and regulatory documentation to a high standard.Proficient verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with personnel at all levels.Capable of exercising judgment to resolve routine issues, select appropriate work methods, and adhere to organizational protocols.Collaborative mindset with a strong focus on teamwork, customer service, and continuous learning.Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development aligned with Worley’s goals for sustainable change and operational excellence.Physical Requirements: Climbing, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Crawling, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Pushing, Pulling, Lifting, Grasping, Feeling, Repetitive Motions
