Sensors Engineering Technologist Internship at the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL)

We are seeking a motivated Engineering Technologist to join our Strategic Systems Operation Division (SSO) in the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State University. This individual will assist with various research activities throughout SSO Division. The primary focus of this position is the theory of operation and the rationale surrounding the placement of various sensors in support of sponsor requirements.
ABOUT THE JOB
• Support and perform daily aspects of calibration, installation, test, and maintenance of remoted sensors, as well as making recommendations for improvements in all those areas• Report progress to the principal investigators and other engineers• Collaborate with principal investigators and other engineers daily• Assist other researchers as needed

- Collaborate with principal investigators and other engineers daily

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in cyberspace and security operations and technologies
- Experience in SIGINT related to cyberspace operations
- Ability to express themselves and ideas successfully to others
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY
Minimal requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree; 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. • Experience in cyberspace and security operations and technologies• Experience in SIGINT related to cyberspace operations• TS/SCI security clearance• Ability to express themselves and ideas successfully to others in order to provide understandingThe individual will be subject to a government security investigation, and must be a U.S. citizen to apply. Employment with the ARL will require successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.
