Equal Employment Specialist for the Norfolk District Equal Employment Opportunity Office, with responsibility for providing support and assistant in planning, implementing, and monitoring one or more EEO programs. Program areas include complaint processing, affirmative action plans, special emphasis program and other related activities. Participates in developing and coordinating plans, policies, and procedures to ensure a comprehensive EEO program is implemented throughout the installation.
ABOUT THE JOB
Advises management officials on problems affecting the promotion, development, training and recruitment of employees and applicants. Counsels employees/applicants having discrimination complaints, explains complaint procedures and processes, recommends solutions and alternatives, assists in complaint negotiations and with training of EEO related programs, etc.
RESPONSIBILITIES

- Preferred EEO Counselor Course (EEOCC)
- Equal Opportunity Advisor Course (EOAC)
- Equal Opportunity Advisor Reserve Component Course (EOARCC)
