***Desktop Support Engineer***Physicians Mutual is looking to hire a Desktop Support Engineer. Great opportunity to provides second-level support for all application issues reported to the Help Desk.
ABOUT THE JOB
RESPONSIBILITIESActs as an in-house workstation and software consultant. Installs and upgrades approved software.Provides assistance to the user and troubleshoots hardware and software problems, resolving in a timely manner. Performs network restores upon request for deleted or corrupt files. Works directly or remotely with end user to troubleshoot issues. Develops and updates documentation for applications and processes that end users utilize. Under general supervision, may participate on Corporate approved projects. Promotes total contact ownership by keeping the end user informed during the entire problem/resolution process.JOB REQUIREMENTSBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or relevant discipline or equivalent work experience.2 years’ experience working on software & hardware applications.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows.Ability to learn diverse applications that are supported on the LAN and local workstations.Strong ability to understand company software and hardware applications to provide consultation, support, and training.Strong critical thinking and analysis skills to resolve problems involving networks, local applications and distributed applications.Ability to establish deadlines and prioritize assignments.Excellent interpersonal skills to provide superior user support and training.Strong written & verbal communication skills.Ability to rapidly adapt, gain technical competency and be agile as industry and company developments occur.Ability to work in a team environment.Willing to participate rotational on call 24/7.Flexible to work weekends & evenings when needed.ABOUT US:Health. QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or relevant discipline or equivalent work experience.
- 2 years’ experience working on software & hardware applications.

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY
2 years experience working on software & hardware applications. BS degree in Computer Science or relevant discipline or equivalent work experience.
