As a member of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s (CISA) Office for Bombing Prevention (OBP) team that supports CISAs efforts to enhance the security, resiliency, and reliability of the Nation’s cyber and physical infrastructure, students will gain a better understanding of the OBP program that supports a diverse mission and workforce that spans the entire nation.

ABOUT THE JOB

There are 2 vacancies for this role. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE NEAR ARLINGTON, VA, PARTICIPANT WILL BE ASSIGNED TO NEAREST DHS FACILITY! Support the TAB Deputy/ Operations Section Chief in developing and improving the section, focusing on synchronization with Department of Defense (DoD) Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) technicians, which includes Current Operations, Special Events, Contingency Operations, and Future Operations. Participate in OBP Operations in national emergencies and help ensure bombing prevention resources are coordinated and available to deploy to affected stakeholders. Support Planning, coordinating, deconflicting, scheduling, executing, and evaluating national counter-improvised explosive device (IED) capacity-building workshops, exercises, assessments, and other technical assistance programs and solutions. Support the development of the roles and responsibilities of OBP Regional Integrators that will be responsible for the coordination, de-confliction, and delivery of office and other governmental resources to the DoD, public, and private sectors. Support implementation of counter-IED training strategies, solutions, programs, and products to address identified counter-IED knowledge, skill, and ability requirements of DoD, public, and private sector stakeholders; Serve as an advisor to OBP leadership on DoD security and resilience policies, inspections/assessments, and measures to protect nationally and regionally significant critical infrastructure; Support long-range planning and analysis of new substantive counter-IED capability assessment and evaluation methodologies; Preparing decision papers, reports, and analyses on counter-IED program activities for senior policymakers. Writes memos, talking points, briefings, and other correspondence for senior Federal, DHS, and agency leadership; Support DHS, CISA, ISD, and OBP efforts as a counter-IED subject matter expert and attend national and international meetings, symposia, and conferences to address national counter-IED policies and programs Help define and implement quality-focused evaluation measures, data collection processes, and methods for ongoing assessments of C-IED programs; Support a team of subject matter experts (Regional Integrators) who execute the Counter-IED Capability Assessments (CCA) with Federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial (FSLTT) agencies with IED prevention and response units to determine current operational capabilities; Help perform long-range planning and analysis of new substantive counter-IED capability assessment and evaluation methodologies; Attend and support TAB's Technology Integration Sections Technology Training Events and work closely with FBI Certified Public Safety Bomb Squads (PSBS) to improve the response and technical capabilities of bomb technicians; Prepare decision papers, reports, and analyses on counter-IED program activities for senior policymakers. Write memos, talking points, briefings, and other correspondence for senior Federal, DHS, and agency leadership

RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Secret Clearance Required.
  • Knowledge in counter-IED training strategies, solutions, programs, and products.
  • Ability to prepare decision papers, reports, and analyses on counter-IED program activities for senior policymakers.
  • Capability to write memos, talking points, briefings, and other correspondence for senior Federal, DHS, and agency leadership.
