Physicians Mutual is hiring a full-time Lead Software Dev Engineer. A great candidate would be responsible, ethical and have a sense of ownership of the system and solutions. Responsibilities:• Responsible for systems, designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents customizations to moderate and complex Business Process Management (BPM) vendor applications. • Work is performed in accordance to user or business systems analysts’ specifications using knowledge of SQL, SQL Server, and specific BPM vendor software features and capabilities like scripting and workflow configuration. • Develops or assists users and analysts with design specifications. • Performs application unit tests and assists in integration and system testing of BPM application changes. • Validates test inputs and outputs and production jobs. • May be responsible for an entire project including analysis, design, and development. • Determines and corrects errors in existing BPM applications and would need to be available to correct production processes.Requirements: • BS in Computer Science or relevant discipline and/or equivalent experience.• 6 years of programming experience using Structured Query Language, JavaScript, Java, or .NET languages.• 4 years of experience with business process management or business workflow management software like OpenText Case360, PegaSystems, Appian or similar systems with increasing design responsibility.Preferred: • Experience with distributed technology.• Knowledge of scanning hardware & features.• Knowledge of insurance operational & applications (Underwriting, Claims, Accident & Health, Life, Marketing, etc.).About us:Since our start in 1902, Physicians Mutual Insurance Company has held to our founder’s promise — to provide protection to families when they need it most.
