The Service 2 Software SkillBridge / Army CSP is a high-impact career transition program built to help active-duty service members launch successful civilian careers in the technology sector, specifically in professional, business-to-business (B2B) sales-focused roles, primarily within Software as a Service (SaaS) companies. This 90 - 180 day program (length based on command approval) matches transitioning service members with leading SaaS companies for real-world internship experience, while providing elite sales training and industry certifications through JB Sales and Pavilion — two of the most respected names in modern sales education. ABOUT THE JOB

SALES DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE (SDR) - Drives new business by identifying ideal prospects and booking meetings through cold outreach (email, phone, LinkedIn). Nearly every Candidate starts here — it’s the launchpad for breaking into tech sales and mastering the fundamentals. SDR OBJECTIVES: 1) Represent the company’s products and services, using comprehensive knowledge as well as consumer research to explain how our solutions meet customer needs. 2) Generate leads and build relationships by nurturing warm prospects and finding potential new sales opportunities. 3) Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects and engage sales executives in next steps. 4) Identify best practices for refining the company’s lead-generation playbook. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE (BDR) - Like SDRs, BDRs qualify leads and generate pipeline, but often focus on larger or more strategic accounts and may handle inbound interest. Less common in SaaS, but more prevalent in non-SaaS tech companies we partner with. CUSTOMER SUCCESS SPECIALIST - Helps new customers get up and running post-sale — managing onboarding, answering questions, and driving early adoption. Occasionally available through select partner companies alongside SDR roles. ACCOUNT MANAGER (AM) - Works with existing customers to expand the relationship — uncovering upsell and cross-sell opportunities while keeping satisfaction high. A popular next step for many of our graduates, and a role several Candidates have moved into right after completing the program.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilize a customer relationship management tool such as Salesforce or Hubspot, cold calls, and email to generate new sales opportunities.
  • Identify the needs of prospects, and suggest appropriate products or services.
  • Build long-term, trusting relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities.
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market.
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) customers and sales executives.
  • Report to sales manager with weekly, monthly, and quarterly results.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Service Members must have served 180 consecutive days on active duty.
  • Service Members must be approved by the first field grade officer in their chain of command authorized to impose non-judicial punishment under Article 15 of the UCMJ.
  • Commanders may approve or disapprove participation by a service member based upon unit mission requirements.
  • Service Members must complete DoD TAP and Capstone prior to attending a DoD SkillBridge / CSP.
  • Service Members must be expected to receive an Honorable or General-under honorable discharge to participate.
  • Service Members must not be flagged (suspended from favorable actions) or barred from reenlistment.
  • Commands may have additional requirements. Check with your local command policy letters, installation SkillBridge / CSP Office, career counselor, or education center for additional details.
  • Service Member must go through Service 2 Software's application and acceptance process and receive a Service 2 Software Program Acceptance Letter .
  • Candidates should possess: 1) Strong communication skills via phone and email. 2) Proven, creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills. 3) Strong desire and ability to move up within a sales organization.
