This is a 12-week internship located at our power plants in Texas. It provides the Service member with an opportunity to use their technical skills and learn about the power plant operations and maintenance. Some roles may require specific experience/technical skills based on the job description.

ABOUT THE JOB
Instrumentation & Controls Technician Trainee (Denver City, TX) Provide maintenance support to troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain all instrumentation associated with the boiler, turbine, generator, and all auxiliary equipment for the plant. Plant Operator Trainee (Jewett, TX; Thompsons, TX) Operate, inspect, and monitor in a safe, efficient, reliable, and environmentally sound manner power plant equipment (i.e. Boiler / Furnace equipment, Turbine/Generator and its associated auxiliary equipment, Fuel Systems, Plant Auxiliary Systems includes valves, pumps, blowers, Environmental Control Process equipment, and Water Treatment Systems).
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide maintenance support to troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain all instrumentation associated with the boiler, turbine, generator, and all auxiliary equipment for the plant.
- Operate, inspect, and monitor in a safe, efficient, reliable, and environmentally sound manner power plant equipment including Boiler / Furnace equipment, Turbine/Generator and its associated auxiliary equipment, Fuel Systems, Plant Auxiliary Systems (valves, pumps, blowers), Environmental Control Process equipment, and Water Treatment Systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Service member within their 180 days in accordance with the Dept. of Defense.
- Pass an initial assessment (math & reading).
- Must pass a background check once offered an internship role.
