South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce
Responsibility/Activity Estimated Annual % of Time Must serve as key LMI contact within WIOA region, including each workforce development area. Serves as the project lead and subject matter expert and liaison on conducting outreach and collaborative activities on labor market information in assigned WOIA regional area. Develops, produces, implements and delivers workforce information reports, analyses, products and services to a variety of customers, which include, but is not limited to state government agencies, workforce development partners, local workforce centers for the assigned WIOA region; keep track of trainings and other events for reporting to the Department of Labor. 50% Collaborate with Workforce Information Grant team to meet grant deliverables, including Annual Economic and Annual Performance Reports. Develop LMI products for use on Department's website in the course of efforts in writing reports, creating material for presentations and conducting research studies. Conduct "Other Economic Reports" as identified in grant's guidance as time permits. 30% Conduct other economic, statistical or workforce studies assigned by LMI and agency management. Projects may be outside of the scope of current efforts. Serve as primary analyst to complete data requests within WIOA region and occasionally assist in other areas. Job Title: Workforce Insights Analyst Job Description: This position reports to the Labor Market Information (LMI) Division in Columbia. Incumbent will serve as lead research analyst for assigned WIOA region in the Workforce Information Grant unit, perform specialized statistical analysis, market research and data management and presentation of figures and concepts, both in-person and through a variety of electronic media, to external stakeholders under limited supervision.
