ABOUT THE JOB
Reporting to the Manager of the UNY Operational Controls team, this key role will provide insightful data analysis and interpretation, leadership around end-to end process and seamless cross-functional teamwork. This key individual will need to understand the business drivers that impact end-to-end processes, including financial, regulatory, operational, capital, and stakeholder engagement.• Collect and assess data from multiple sources to meet operational and project needs, including integrating various data sets to provide comprehensive insights and ensure data integrity.• Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to enable data-driven decision-making and support continuous improvement. Create and maintain comprehensive dashboards within platforms such as PowerBI for leadership, addressing both ongoing reporting requirements and specific ad hoc inquiries.• Monitor, evaluate, and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Conduct regular assessments of reports to detect potential risks or anomalies and refer them to the appropriate departments for resolution.• Interface with process and functional leaders to provide analytical support and insight to help deliver on operational productivity performance focused on UNY Gas Programs.• Advocate outcomes and recommendations to cross functional audiences through written reports and oral presentations.• Assist the Manager and Team in the overall delivery of process performance and help to coordinate across the matrixed support portions of the organization. Provide leadership to solve the most complex system wide problems.• Responsible for the management of multiple initiatives directed toward end-to-end process model and other organizational objectives.• Ability to respond and react to emergency response events during normal business hours or off hours.
RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS
- A Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or analytics with an advanced business degree preferred
- Expert in MS Office Tools - Excel, PowerBI, PowerApps, and PowerPoint in particular
- A minimum of four years of experience in data analytics
- Strong understanding of Python and SQL and experience with Alteryx, Tableau, HTML, and other common languages is a plus
- Possesses strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to scrutinize data and identify patterns and trends
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex issues and recommend data-driven solutions; experience with quantitative analysis and modeling; ability to synthesize data and produce visuals and reports that inform decision-making
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven experience in producing technical and business reports, as well as developing and delivering presentations
- Proven capability to meet deadlines and adhere to time-sensitive mandates
- Capability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
- Experience with industry standard utility applications such as Maximo, Salesforce, ESRI GIS Pro and etc is a plus
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced regulatory environment
- An individual who prioritizes people, and is skilled in collaborating with and challenging a wide variety of stakeholders
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY
