Apple’s SkillBridge Fellowship Program offers transitioning service members a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in a dynamic, corporate environment during their final six months of military service. Through this full-time fellowship, participants gain exposure to the rhythm and culture at Apple, while building professional relationships, refining their civilian workplace skills, and contributing to impactful projects in a supportive setting.Fellows are embedded within teams and given access to training and networking opportunities designed to help them navigate the transition from military to civilian careers with confidence. The program is structured to offer a meaningful, real-world experience that complements their military background and prepares them for future career success in the private sector.
ABOUT THE JOB
Job Title: Engineering Project Manager (LB4)The Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) organization powers Apple. We manage the networks, systems, and applications that run Apple. Within IS&T, the Retail Engineering team builds and operates information technology solutions for Apple’s retail business. The team’s technical solutions involve designing, developing, implementing, and supporting solutions such as the Apple Store Online, Apple Store app, and most of the apps and services used in Apple Store locations worldwide.The Retail Engineering Operations & Support Team (REOS) is seeking a project manager to own the entire lifecycle of large-scale projects that will help build and improve our prediction modeling of application issues based on underlying data patterns. You'll be in the driver's seat, from gathering requirements, completing analysis, and technical design discussions to testing and partner collaboration. This isn't about checking tasks off a list – it's about your ability to lead and deliver on every aspect of the project.The ideal candidate is a self-motivated Engineering Project Manager who has experience in a complex, fast-moving environment and has a proven track record of delivering excellent results, a high degree of organization, and can communicate effectively across a variety of technical disciplines.Responsibilities Take full responsibility for the success of your projects, steering them from concept to launch.Confidently navigate multifaceted environments, building strong relationships and smoothly resolving conflicts.Work seamlessly with engineers and strategic partners, ensuring everyone is aligned and informed.Efficiently manage resources, monitor timelines, and proactively identify and mitigate risks.Maintain a relentless focus on execution, ensuring timely and successful delivery while paying meticulous attention to detail.Manage end-to-end data science, application support, and infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with business goals, scope, and timelines.Work closely with infrastructure architects, DevOps engineers, software developers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.Key Qualifications Hands-on experience in engineering project or program managementHands-on experience in engineering roleExperience in software development life cycle methodologiesAbility to identify and solve complex problems using data-driven approaches. Excellent communicator to clearly articulate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.Organized, detail-oriented, with ability to multi-task, prioritize work, and manage time efficiently.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree or higher in CS or in a STEM field.Coding experience with Python, R, SQL, Graph solutions, e.g., tiger graph.Demonstrate technical aptitude with the ability to understand and articulate the business and technical implications of the decisions made by project team.Strong facilitation and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and lead project teams to meet all project deadlines with minimal supervision.
