ABOUT THE JOB
This 12-week internship provides service members with hands-on experience in administrative operations, cross-departmental collaboration, and project-based learning aligned with K-State’s strategic goals. Interns will engage in real-world projects, shadow experienced professionals, and develop skills essential to launching a successful career in higher education administration or related fields.Key Responsibilities (may vary by department and position):Participate in orientation and training sessions to learn about K-State's organizational structure and strategic initiatives.Collaborate with university departments and partners across campus to understand functional workflows.Assist in the planning and execution of a department-specific project under supervisor guidance.Apply job-specific training to perform operational tasks and improve departmental outcomes.Work independently and in teams to continue and complete project deliverables.Seek and respond to regular feedback from managers and peers to improve performance.Explore potential career paths by networking with other departments and professionals on campus.Attend HR sessions for resume building, interview preparation, and career coaching.Contribute to continuous improvement by participating in an exit interview and feedback discussion.
RESPONSIBILITIES
