Apple’s SkillBridge Fellowship Program offers transitioning service members a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in a dynamic, corporate environment during their final six months of military service. Through this full-time fellowship, participants gain exposure to the rhythm and culture at Apple, while building professional relationships, refining their civilian workplace skills, and contributing to impactful projects in a supportive setting.Fellows are embedded within teams and given access to training and networking opportunities designed to help them navigate the transition from military to civilian careers with confidence. The program is structured to offer a meaningful, real-world experience that complements their military background and prepares them for future career success in the private sector.

ABOUT THE JOB

Job Title: Engineering Project ManagerLocation: Austin, TX DescriptionThe position requires an experienced project manager with strong ownership of end-to-end project delivery, including tracking progress, managing risks, and driving communication across stakeholders. The ideal candidate has experience in software development, excels at building clear roadmaps, and can break down complex work into actionable plans for predictable, high-quality delivery.This role bridges business stakeholders and our tools engineering team, guiding product vision and prioritizing features. You’ll work closely with Engineering, UI/UX, QA, and partner teams to deliver timely initiatives while navigating complex stakeholder dynamics. You’ll proactively identify timeline risks and present mitigation paths. You must be comfortable going deep into project details, aligning diverse perspectives, and confidently communicating status and trade-offs to executive leadership.Minimum QualificationsProven ability to manage web-based application projects through the full lifecycle, with strong planning capabilities, organizational skills, cross-functional collaboration and process optimization.Tactical experience implementing projects using Agile methodologies across distributed teams.Able to quickly grasp complex ideas and resolve conflicts across cross-functional teams (engineers, designers, etc.), fostering collaboration and maintaining project momentum.Preferred QualificationsDegree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent work experience.PMI and/or Agile Project Management certifications is a plus.Strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with vendors, ensuring clear communication, alignment on goals, and regular progress updates to drive successful collaboration.Focus on software development metrics collection and analysis to drive data-informed decision-making and improve project outcomes.
