Space Force Business Development
NewSat is seeking a highly motivated Senior Business Development (BD) Professional with deep experience in the U.S. Space Force (USSF) and direct engagement with the Space Rapid Capabilities Office (Space RCO). This individual will play a critical role in shaping and capturing new business opportunities in the national security space market, focusing on delivering innovative, rapid, and mission-driven solutions.The ideal candidate has a strong network of relationships within the USSF, particularly with Space RCO leadership and acquisition stakeholders, and a proven track record of leading business development efforts in defense and space sectors.

ABOUT THE JOB
Key Responsibilities:- Identify, develop, and qualify new business opportunities within USSF and Space RCO, aligning with corporate strategic objectives.- Build and sustain trusted relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and acquisition officials in Space RCO and broader USSF organizations.- Shape requirements, influence acquisition strategies, and lead early capture efforts in collaboration with technical, engineering, and program teams.- Monitor and assess emerging RFPs, RFIs, BAAs, and other opportunity announcements.- Lead or support proposal development efforts, including win strategy, teaming, and pricing strategies.- Represent the company at industry days, government forums, and classified briefings as needed.- Stay current on DoD and USSF priorities, budget trends, acquisition forecasts, and competitive landscape.- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and executive teams to ensure alignment on pursuits and program capabilities.Required Qualifications: - 10+ years of experience in business development, capture, or program management roles supporting DoD, preferably with focus on space systems.- Demonstrated success identifying and capturing opportunities within the U.S. Space Force, including strong familiarity with Space RCO missions and acquisition pathways.- Existing relationships with key stakeholders and leadership at Space RCO.- Strong understanding of the DoD acquisition process, especially rapid acquisition models, OTA, and middle-tier acquisition.- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.- Ability to work independently and manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously.Preferred Qualifications:- Experience supporting classified space programs or rapid prototyping/delivery programs.- Prior military or government civilian experience with USSF or Air Force Space Command.- Understanding of systems engineering and integration for space missions.- Experience working in an agile or innovation-focused company environment.Education:- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).Clearance:- Active Secret clearance required; TS/SCI strongly preferred.Job Type:- Full-timeJob Location:- Melbourne, FL / Colorado Springs, CO / Albuquerque, NMTravel:- Occasional (up to 25%)
