Participants will undergo a structured, two-phase 17-week (120-day) training program. Phase one is eight weeks of learning the business side of gym management, where the participant will master front-office operations, CRM database systems, customer service, membership sales, retail inventory, and facility sanitation. Phase two is nine weeks of coaching training, where the participant will focus on athletic instruction, class preparation, SafeSport compliance, and mat leadership.
Job duties will include but are not limited to the following: Front Desk: greet members, conduct facility tours, explain membership options, enroll new members in the CRM database, track attendance, and process pro-shop retail transactions. Facilities Management: execute daily hospital-grade mat sanitation protocols, fully clean and sanitize locker rooms and toilets, and maintain gym equipment. Coaching: greet members before class, prepare lesson plans, and supervise participant safety. These coaching duties will depend entirely on current martial arts rank; participants holding a Purple Belt or above will assist the head coach with active class instruction, while those below Purple Belt or with no prior experience will focus strictly on administrative support and passive class observation. Throughout this program, the academy will sponsor and coordinate your national safety credentials, including U.S. Center for SafeSport and American Red Cross CPR/AED certifications, with all active adult training hours counting directly as Gracie Jiu-Jitsu curricular credit toward personal rank progression.
