As an Inside Sales Representative intern at PEM, you’ll learn how to manage customer accounts, process orders, and identify new business opportunities. You’ll gain experience in quoting, contract review, and order fulfillment while working closely with our sales and operations teams. This role is ideal for veterans who are detail-oriented, process-driven, and eager to build strong customer relationships.Key Responsibilities:Analyze customer order requests for accuracy and cost detailsRespond to Requests for Quotes and follow up per company processManage assigned customer accounts, including occasional travelCreate and process sales orders and acknowledgementsExpedite internal processes to ensure timely shipmentIdentify additional sales opportunities within existing accountsHandle customer concerns and initiate corrective actionsManage Return Material Authorizations (RMAs)Collaborate with shipping and warehouse teams for proof of delivery
Past sales experience, must be highly detail‑oriented and process‑driven, to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliable execution in every task you manage.Analyze cost, quantity and other nomenclature on order requests from customersReceive and respond to Requests for Quotes from customers. Follow up on Quotes as needed and identified in Quote follow up ProcessAccount Management of assigned accounts. May require travel to customer site.Create Sales Orders and associated acknowledgementsExpedite internally to assure shipment of customer ordersRoutes orders to departments for fillingContinually looks for additional sales opportunities within assigned accounts.Initiates and manages customer contract review process (customer requirements).Receives customer concerns and initiates any internal action that may be required.Initiates and provides all Return Material Authorizations to customers.Confers with shipping, warehouse, or common carrier personnel to provide proof of delivery requests for customers.Other duties may be assigned.
