Gain hands-on experience in regenerative agriculture and agribusiness operations at River Mountain Ranch. Training includes rotational grazing, livestock care, pasture and soil management, fencing, equipment operation, farm infrastructure, recordkeeping, marketing, customer service, and daily farm-business management.
The Regenerative Agriculture & Agribusiness Operations Fellow will receive hands-on training in the daily operation of River Mountain Ranch. Responsibilities include livestock feeding and care, rotational grazing, pasture and soil management, fencing, farm maintenance, recordkeeping, inventory, customer service, agritourism, marketing, and other farm-business activities.The fellow may train on tractors, implements, chainsaws, and other farm equipment only after completing required safety instruction, demonstrating competency, receiving supervisor approval, and meeting insurance requirements. Work is performed indoors and outdoors in changing weather and may require walking on uneven ground, lifting supplies, and working around livestock.
Command approval and eligibility for SkillBridge participation are required. Applicant must have reliable transportation, be comfortable working outdoors in changing weather and around livestock, walk on uneven terrain, safely lift up to 50 pounds, and follow all farm safety and animal-handling procedures. No prior farming experience is required. Equipment operation requires separate training, demonstrated competency, supervisor approval and applicable insurance clearance.
