Logistics Internship

The Logistics Intern at 412 Food Rescue will play a key role in supporting the organization's fleet operations within its Logistics Department. This internship offers hands-on experience in managing a nonprofit fleet, including assisting with vehicle scheduling, tracking maintenance needs, and supporting daily dispatch operations. The intern will contribute to route optimization, data entry, and performance tracking while collaborating with drivers, food donors, and nonprofit partners to ensure efficient and impactful operations. ABOUT THE JOB

412 Food Rescue is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Intern to join our team and support our mission to prevent food waste and feed those in need. This full-time internship will focus primarily on fleet operations, providing hands-on experience in vehicle management, route optimizations, and dispatch coordination. Interns will gain proficiency in logistics tools such as fleet GPS systems, dispatch software, and our custom Food Rescue Hero app, while contributing to daily operations and long-term planning. As part of the Logistics Department, the intern will assist with scheduling, data analysis, safety compliance, and problem-solving to ensure efficient and impactful logistics. This role is ideal for transitioning service members who are eager to apply their skills in a mission-driven organization and gain experience in nonprofit logistics and fleet management.
