Our goal is to have the people we support direct their own services to reach milestones towards independence in whatever way feels important to them. As a Direct Support Professional, you will work with at-risk adults of varying needs to build social skills, support positive behavior development, and ultimately increase their level of confidence to participate as active members of their community.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support people with disabilities in group and one to one day program services (site-based and community environments)
  • Assist in creating meaningful activity schedules chosen by the people participating in program
  • Encourage the development of social skills and practice building meaningful relationships with at-risk adults
  • Promote self-advocacy and assist people with disabilities in voicing their wants and needs
  • Provide quality attention and supervision to at-risk adults participating in program activities
  • Implement behavior support plans to encourage people to reach their goals both at program and in their communities
  • Provide transportation to people with disabilities to and from program as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and a willingness to transport individuals in services in your vehicle
