Perform developmental assignments that include performing a variety of professional and technical functions related to natural resource management. Work assignments typically involve issues or problems of a procedural or factual nature and resolving such issues in accordance with established methods, guidelines and precedents.
Under the guidance of the supervisor and with the assistance of other technical resourcespecialists, the incumbent will assist other specialists in efforts to plan, carry out, and report onfield inventories to evaluate the health of biological resources. The incumbent will assist with theanalysis inventory data to identify any impacts or concerns. Participates in the implementation of natural resource programs by assisting with specific projects. Documents, evaluates, and reports changes in natural resources status. Assists more senior resources specialists in the development, implementation, and maintenance of resource management plans. Collects, enters, and maintains natural resources monitoring data according to BLM and program standards. Learns to ensure data quality and integrity by adherence to quality control standards and procedures.
