Criminal SAUSA's will prosecute federal crimes on behalf of the United States Government.
ABOUT THE JOB
SAUSAs will be assigned to the General Crimes Section of the Criminal Division. During their six months, SAUSAs can expect to handle myriad types of hearings in magistrate and district court, can assist in proactive investigations, and a can try criminal cases with the assistance of an AUSA.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prosecute federal crimes on behalf of the United States Government.
- Handle myriad types of hearings in magistrate and district court.
- Assist in proactive investigations.
- Try criminal cases with the assistance of an AUSA.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Possess a J.D. degree.
- Be an active member of the bar (any jurisdiction).
- Have at least 1 year post-J.D. legal or other relevant experience.
- Exceedingly strong academic background.
- Exemplary writing skills.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
