Criminal SAUSA's will prosecute federal crimes on behalf of the United States Government.
SAUSAs will be assigned to the General Crimes Section of the Criminal Division. During their six months, SAUSAs can expect to handle myriad types of hearings in magistrate and district court, can assist in proactive investigations, and a can try criminal cases with the assistance of an AUSA.
Applicants must possess a J.D. degree, be an active member of the bar (any jurisdiction), and have at least 1* year post-J.D. legal or other relevant experience. An exceedingly strong academic background, and exemplary writing skills are essential. U.S. citizenship is required.
