The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, invites applications for the Boiler Operator in the Facilities and Engineering Department. The candidates duties will include, but not limited to: Responsible for proper operation of the Central Boiler Plant; maintains operational and maintenance records of the Boiler Plants, Main Boilers, Auxiliary Boilers, and Main and Auxiliary Steam distribution systems and associated equipment; must be able to work and support work on rotating shifts including, nights, weekends, holidays and emergencies supervising the Central Boiler Plant in proper operation, maintenance and repair of associated steam producing equipment.
Assists in maintaining maintenance records, equipment certification records, water chemistry and chemical inventory recordsAssists in maintaining all DEHC records, including fuel records for the Boilers and Emergency Diesel GeneratorResponsible for operation, maintenance, repair and testing of the Emergency Diesel and auxiliary equipment including fuel oil pump, fuel oil coolers and cooling systems.Responsible for proper electrical distribution of emergency power to the campus.Responsible for complying with all DHEC requirements and maintaining all operational data for DHEC reports and inspections.
