Oil and Gas Production Operator NET Program Oil and Gas Production Operator in Person Classroom and Handson Training
This opportunity offers a unique, one-of-a-kind experience where selected candidates will gain both classroom instruction and real-world, hands-on training in operating oil and gas producing wells.
ABOUT THE JOB
Primary Responsibilities• Monitor Production Systems:o Check gauges, meters, SCADA systems, and alarms to track flow rates, pressures, and levels.o Interpret readings to ensure processes are operating within safe and optimal parameters.• Operate Equipment:o Start, stop, and adjust pumps, compressors, separators, heaters, treaters, and other processing equipment.o Open and close valves to direct the flow of oil, gas, and produced water.• Perform Inspections and Maintenance:o Conduct routine checks of pipelines, tanks, and equipment for leaks, corrosion, or wear.o Lubricate, clean, and make minor repairs or adjustments to machinery as needed.• Troubleshoot Issues:o Identify and respond to process upsets, abnormal readings, or equipment malfunctions.o Work with maintenance or engineering teams to resolve problems quickly and safely.• Collect and Analyze Samples:o Take samples of oil, gas, and water for quality testing.o Record findings and adjust processes accordingly.• Safety and Compliance:o Follow all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and environmental regulations.o Participate in safety meetings, drills, and permit-to-work processes.o Report spills, near-misses, and unsafe conditions immediately.• Documentation and Reporting:o Maintain daily production reports, logbooks, and shift handovers.o Track production volumes, chemical usage, and downtime.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Must first qualify by passing an aptitude test.
- Pass the Basic Production course exam to remain in the program.
