ABOUT THE JOB
Allied Universal® Veteran Leadership Program is a unique 3-month opportunity for transitioning service members to obtain on-the-job training (OJT) from Allied Universal® leaders and subject matter experts. During the internship, the service member will receive a training plan outlining weekly tasks and goals. The goal of the internship is to prepare the transitioning service member for a full-time operational leadership role at Allied Universal®.Talent selection-work with members of the team to learn how to select, onboard, schedule and train Security Professionals and Shift SupervisorsTeam engagement-support Allied Universal® team members through coaching and mentoringAdministrative management-assist with uniforms, supplies, timekeeping, payroll and schedulingClient relations-learn how security programs are based on client needs and industry standards; learn strategies to develop customer intimacy; and resolve issues ranging from routine challenges to critical crises.Business Operations: advance your knowledge on how to run a profitable branch office by managing compliance, training, safety, licensing, metrics, financials and employee and client satisfaction
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Talent selection - work with team members to learn how to select, onboard, schedule, and train Security Professionals and Shift Supervisors.
- Team engagement - support Allied Universal team members through coaching and mentoring.
- Administrative management - assist with uniforms, supplies, timekeeping, payroll, and scheduling.
- Client relations - learn how security programs are based on client needs and industry standards; develop customer intimacy strategies; resolve issues from routine challenges to critical crises.
- Business Operations - advance knowledge on managing a profitable branch office by handling compliance, training, safety, licensing, metrics, financials, and employee and client satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Active duty service member with 180 days of service or fewer remaining prior to your date of discharge.
- At least 180 continuous days of active service.
- Can work onsite, 40 hours per week, for a minimum of 8 weeks with a maximum of 3 months.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
