After the Service member completes the orientation and safety training, they will move into the construction and materials testing laboratory to learn about the materials testing industry. Once laboratory training is completed the intern will move into the field and be exposed to materials testing on active construction sites as well as special inspections. Upon completion of the internship, the intern will have the basic skills and certifications to begin a career on the Construction and Materials Engineering and Testing group.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete orientation and safety training
- Work in the construction and materials testing laboratory to learn about the materials testing industry
- Perform materials testing on active construction sites
- Conduct special inspections

- Basic skills in construction and materials engineering and testing upon completion of the internship
