ABOUT THE JOB

About the PositionEquipment Maintenance Technicians are integral members of our Wafer Fab operation in Hillsboro, OR that delivers high quality, efficient manufacturing and advanced technologies that produce innovative RF products and solutions to Qorvo’s industry-leading wireless device and network customers. They are responsible for the preventative and corrective maintenance of semiconductor manufacturing and test equipment. This is a challenging position that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work well in a team environment. We currently have entry to senior-level openings to support Wet Clean, CMP, Scrubbers, Grinders, Saws and other Fab Finish equipment. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on Fab equipment.
  • Improve system performance to achieve process requirements and eliminate repetitive tool break downs.
  • Monitor and analyze tool data and make recommendations for improvements to maintenance procedures.
  • Work with engineers to design and execute equipment improvement projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s degree in technical related field and/or Military Electronics training OR prior Technician experience in a wafer fab.
  • Strong mechanical and electronic knowledge/skills.
  • Proficiency in use of computers, including MS Office.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across functions.
  • Strong time management skills to enable on-time task completion.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements: stand/walk up to 12 hours per shift, lift up to 50 pounds, and wear a respirator and other personal protective equipment.
