Network Operations Specialist Training Program
The following training curriculum introduces core Knowledge [K], Skills [S], Abilities [A], and Tasks [T] (KSATs) as related to the Network Operations Specialist work role [NIST Work Role ID: 441 (NIST: OM-NET-001)]. The following Program Modules (PMs) address cybersecurity concepts as related to a program, organization, system, or enclave and are presented within a cybersecurity competency framework tailored to meet current-state needs and consider future-state industry requirements.
ABOUT THE JOB
The Network Operations Specialist will have the necessary industry-required certification(s) and associated KSAT acumen to plan, implement and operate network services/systems, including hardware and virtual environments as related to: • Network modeling, operations, and technology,• Program system operations,• Architecture and network security,• Cyber operations and the interrelationship(s) of multiple disparate IT systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, implement and operate network services/systems
- Manage both hardware and virtual environments
- Engage in network modeling, operations, and technology
- Handle program system operations
- Focus on architecture and network security
- Navigate cyber operations and the interrelationships of multiple disparate IT systems
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have the necessary industry-required certification(s)
- Possess associated KSAT acumen
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY
Must have Active Security Clearance ranging from Secret to TS/SCI.
