ABOUT THE JOB

AECOM is seeking an Environmental Scientist with opportunities in various locations spread throughout the United States - please let us know of your specified location of interest and we will discuss those opportunities with you. Whether you would like to work in California or Florida, New York or Seattle, we have opportunities for you!This position has starting dates year around.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Utilizes basic scientific principles, theories, practices and existing technologies to develop solutions for technical problems with limited scope.Collects and enters data and applies technical principles and theories. Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, and compares findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance. Uses ArcGIS and other online tools to prepare figures, evaluate site conditions, and identify permitting requirements.Prepares letters, forms, evaluations, and assessments for permits and consultation with resource agencies.Assess potential impacts to the environment and various resources.Writes technical sections of reports.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or other related discipline.Preferred Qualifications:Related intern/professional experience.General knowledge of the environmental sciences.Great oral and written communication skills, including technical report writing skills.Ability to collect and evaluate environmental data in field and office settings.Ability to prepare investigation reports and help coordinate preparation of drawings.Experience using Microsoft Office (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access).Experience with EVS, GIS, and/or CADD.Experience collaborating professionally in a clear, concise manner.
