Senior Director of Business Development for Navy ProgramsThe Senior Director of Business Development for Navy Programs at M1 Support Services is responsible for leading and executing business development initiatives that support the company’s growth objectives within the defense and aerospace sectors. This role focuses on identifying and capturing new business opportunities, strengthening customer relationships, and supporting strategic growth priorities.Working in close coordination with executive leadership and cross-functional teams, the Senior Director will contribute to the development and execution of business development strategies, oversee capture efforts, and help position M1 Support Services as a competitive and trusted partner across targeted markets.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:* Business Development Strategy & Execution* Market Analysis & Opportunity Identification* Capture Management & Proposal Support* Customer Engagement & Relationship Management* Cross-Functional Collaboration* Performance Metrics & Reporting* Team Leadership & DevelopmentQualifications and Experience:Education• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is required.• Master’s degree (e.g., MBA) is preferred.Experience• Minimum of 20 years of experience in business development, capture management, program management, or related roles. May include equivalent roles from previous government service.• At least 3–5 years of experience supporting or leading business development efforts within the defense or aerospace sectors.• Demonstrated experience supporting successful contract captures and revenue growth.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities• Strong understanding of federal contracting processes, acquisition lifecycle, and compliance requirements.• Proven ability to identify, qualify, and pursue business opportunities in a competitive environment.• Strong relationship-building and customer engagement skills focused specifically on the Navy Customer• Ability to develop and execute capture strategies and support proposal development.• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.• Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.• Proficiency with CRM systems and business development tools.Working Conditions:• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.• Must be able to access and navigate facilities, including military installations and field locations.• Travel up to 30–40% may be required.
