Core4ce is looking for a great candidate transitioning out of the military and has an IT background. Join our team as a Desktop Support Technician through the Skill Bridge program in Dayton, OH. This unique opportunity allows you to gain hands-on experience in a civilian work environment while leveraging your military skills.

ABOUT THE JOB

ResponsibilitiesProvision and ship computer hardwareCreate and manage user accounts in Microsoft 365Monitor and answer service desk calls and emails to assist customers requiring technical supportHandle calls, emails, and tickets assigned prior to escalating to other teams or leadershipAdd detailed work notes to all assigned tickets until resolved or escalated to another teamProvide status updates when requestedMove, setup, and/or install IT hardware for customersTroubleshoot and repair/resolve various issues/requests for peripheral devicesInstall, troubleshoot and resolve software issues/requestsProvide desk-side end user support when necessaryUpdate and document inventory changes when necessaryComplete other duties as assignedRequirements A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in information technology or a directly related field or a degree from an accredited university.Experience providing IT support to users via phone, email, and/or in person.Experience supporting enterprise hardware, software, and peripherals, specifically Microsoft 365 products.Understanding of Microsoft Windows 11, basic networking concepts, PC hardware and software.Must be able to work in a dynamic team environment.Ability to analyze and research problems of a basic nature and make recommendations as to their solutionAble to lift at least 30 pounds.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree from an accredited university.One or more IT certifications such as A+, Security+, Network+, ITIL, etc. Why Work for Us? RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provision and ship computer hardware
  • Create and manage user accounts in Microsoft 365
  • Monitor and answer service desk calls and emails to assist customers requiring technical support
  • Handle calls, emails, and tickets assigned prior to escalating to other teams or leadership
  • Add detailed work notes to all assigned tickets until resolved or escalated to another team
  • Provide status updates when requested
  • Move, setup, and/or install IT hardware for customers
  • Troubleshoot and repair/resolve various issues/requests for peripheral devices
  • Install, troubleshoot and resolve software issues/requests
  • Provide desk-side end user support when necessary
  • Update and document inventory changes when necessary
  • Complete other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in information technology or a directly related field or a degree from an accredited university
  • Experience providing IT support to users via phone, email, and/or in person
  • Experience supporting enterprise hardware, software, and peripherals, specifically Microsoft 365 products
  • Understanding of Microsoft Windows 11, basic networking concepts, PC hardware and software
  • Must be able to work in a dynamic team environment
  • Ability to analyze and research problems of a basic nature and make recommendations as to their solution
  • Able to lift at least 30 pounds
