Portable Field Service HVAC Technician
We are seeking a Portable Field Technician that is responsible for the delivery, installation, maintenance, and repair of portable HVAC rental equipment at customer job sites. This role requires strong mechanical and HVAC diagnostic skills, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, field-based environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Prioritize and execute delivery and pickup schedules; adjust to changing job site needs. • Install, set up, and test portable cooling equipment at commercial and industrial job sites. • Perform basic level HVAC diagnostics, repairs and preventative maintenance. • Clean, maintain, and trouble shoot rental fleet equipment to ensure operational readiness. • Track and manage equipment using asset tracking and inventory software. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at the branch and on job sites. • Communicate job requirements and customer needs with the Branch Manager. • Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers, contractors, and vendors. • Participate in a rotating 24-7 on call schedule for emergency service support. Education/Experience: • High School Diploma or equivalent required. • 1-2 years of experience in HVAC or a related industry. • EPA 608 Universal Certification required. • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. • Ability to lift 50. and work in varying environmental conditions (indoor/outdoor, hot/cold, noisy). • Must be able to pass medical DOT requirements.
