The Social Media Specialist Intern position is a hands-on SkillBridge opportunity designed to provide transitioning service members with real-world experience in digital communications, content creation, and online brand management. Interns will learn to plan, design, and execute social media strategies that strengthen Bridgecross’s presence across platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram. The program offers guided training in social media analytics, marketing automation, and professional storytelling to support organizational visibility and engagement.
The Social Media Specialist Intern will assist in managing and enhancing Bridgecross’s digital communications under the guidance of experienced professionals. This role involves developing and scheduling social media content, tracking performance metrics, and supporting marketing initiatives that align with company objectives. The intern will gain valuable exposure to tools and techniques for creating cohesive brand messaging, measuring engagement, and optimizing campaigns for maximum reach.Key Responsibilities:Create, schedule, and publish content across multiple social media platforms.Develop graphics, posts, and short-form videos to promote Bridgecross initiatives.Monitor engagement analytics and prepare performance reports.Research trends, hashtags, and audience behavior to improve content effectiveness.Collaborate with internal teams to align messaging with company goals and activities.Maintain a consistent brand voice and professional online presence.Preferred Qualifications:Strong written and verbal communication skills.Familiarity and experience with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter).Basic knowledge of Canva, Adobe Express, or similar design tools.Experience with content scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, or Meta Business Suite) is a plus.Creative mindset, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn marketing best practices.
