The Acquisition Analyst will support the business development team by identifying, researching, and analyzing government procurement opportunities. This position involves reviewing federal, state, and local contracting opportunities, summarizing relevant solicitations, and participating in strategic client engagement activities. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills and excellent communication abilities.
Opportunity Research & Analysis:● Conduct detailed research on government procurement opportunities usingvarious platforms (e.g., SAM.gov, GovSpend, and agency-specific portals).● Analyze Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs),Request for Quotes (RFQs) and Requests for Bids (RFB) to identify keyrequirements, evaluation criteria, and compliance factors.● Provide summaries of procurement opportunities to assist business developmentand proposal team in decision-making.Client & Stakeholder Engagement:● Support client-facing activities by preparing opportunity summaries on targeted procurement solicitations for clients.● Participate in meetings with clients to discuss potential opportunities and capture key points and action items.Proposal Support:● Assist in proposal development by organizing research findings, past performance data, and competitive analysis.● Contribute to the development of proposal content, such as compliance matrices and opportunity analyses.● Monitor and track the status of active opportunities and provide updates to internal stakeholders.Market Intelligence:● Keep abreast of current government acquisition trends, policies, and procurement regulations.● Conduct competitive analysis and market research to inform business development strategies.● Identify potential teaming partners and vendors for targeted solicitations.Qualifications:● Ability to interpret and synthesize complex information.● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).● Familiarity with federal procurement platforms and databases, such as SAM.govand FPDS, is preferred. (If you don’t have this, don’t worry, we’ll teach youwhat you need to learn)● Experience in government contracting, market research, and or analyticalexperience is preferred but not required.
