We are seeking to place Environmental Professional interns to support programs onsite at Joint Base San Antonio. Training to include familiarity and knowledge with preparation of statements of work, cost estimates, and other items as part of the acquisition process. Review of contractor-generated technical documents, field oversight of contractor activities, tracking of schedules and funds, and environmental project programming.
ABOUT THE JOB
JOB DESCRIPTION:• Environmental professional to provide on-site support.• Familiarity and knowledge with preparation of statements of work, cost estimates, and other items as part of the acquisition process.• Managing performance-based contracts. • Review of contractor-generated technical documents, field oversight of contractor activities, tracking of schedules and funds, and environmental project programming.JOB REQUIREMENTS:• Bachelor’s degree or higher in environmental engineering, sciences, or other related area.• 3 years of experience in compliance, restoration or other related support.• Experience working on DoD environmental programs/projects.• Professional environmental registration or certification a plus.• Working knowledge of environmental compliance, remediation, regulations, and regulatory agencies.• Individuals already possessing an adjudicated National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) are preferred. • Ability to successfully pass a Federal agency background check is required.• Possess a working knowledge of other Federal environmental statutes and State-specific regulations such as each State Environmental Protection Act and the State Administrative Code, local regulations and statutes, as well as AF and/or DoD environmental regulations and documentation. • Strong oral and written communication skills and proficiency with MS Office applications (Word and Excel) is required.
