ABOUT THE JOB
Assist the DTRA Accountability Chief in daily managing and overseeing the Department of Defense (DoD) nuclear stockpile. Specific tasks include:Reviewing, validating, assessing, and assisting in maintaining, updating, and correcting nuclear accountability dataMonitoring nuclear weapons stockpile for inventory complianceAssisting in generating availability messages to support weapons movement planningAssisting in the coordination of nuclear weapon shipments; approving/creating/issuing Material Transfer Orders (MTOs) and Movement Tracking Numbers (MTNs)Assisting in monitoring the execution of moves resulting from the New Material and Stockpile Evaluation Schedule (NMSES)Process nuclear weapon information from the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) into the DIAMONDS systemAssisting in gathering appropriate references and information from the Department of Energy (DOE) and DIAMONDS to create Annual Lab and Flight Test Selection memorandumsPreparing background materials, briefings, and talking points, after action reports, requests, and summariesOrganizing, coordinating, executing, and supporting meetings to include administrative functionsAssisting with the planning, organizing, executing, documenting and pre-/post-support of workshops, exercises, training, conferences (excluding the collection of conference fees), and meetingsWorking hand in hand with Service Logistic Agents in support of Weapon Status ReportsAssisting with nuclear history research
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the DTRA Accountability Chief in daily managing and overseeing the DoD nuclear stockpile.
- Review, validate, assess, and assist in maintaining, updating, and correcting nuclear accountability data.
- Monitor nuclear weapons stockpile for inventory compliance.
- Assist in generating availability messages to support weapons movement planning.
- Assist in the coordination of nuclear weapon shipments; approve/create/issue Material Transfer Orders (MTOs) and Movement Tracking Numbers (MTNs).
- Assist in monitoring the execution of moves resulting from the New Material and Stockpile Evaluation Schedule (NMSES).
- Process nuclear weapon information from the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) into the DIAMONDS system.
- Assist in gathering appropriate references and information from the Department of Energy (DOE) and DIAMONDS to create Annual Lab and Flight Test Selection memorandums.
- Prepare background materials, briefings, and talking points, after action reports, requests, and summaries.
- Organize, coordinate, execute, and support meetings to include administrative functions.
- Assist with the planning, organizing, executing, documenting and pre-/post-support of workshops, exercises, training, conferences, and meetings.
- Work hand in hand with Service Logistic Agents in support of Weapon Status Reports.
- Assist with nuclear history research.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience as a DoD nuclear weapons munitions accountable systems officer, DoD conventional weapons accountability officer in either a military or civilian capacity, or DTRA stockpile manager is desired.
- Experience and knowledge of the DIAMONDS system is preferred.
- Experience with database queries, IT/software development may be considered as a substitute for weapons accountability experience.
- Must be detail-oriented, dependable, and highly organized.
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY
Qualifications:DoD nuclear weapons munitions accountable systems officer, DoD conventional weapons accountability officer in either a military or civilian capacity, or DTRA stockpile manager experience is desiredExperience and knowledge of the DIAMONDS system is preferredExperience with database queries, IT/software development may be considered as a substitute for weapons accountability experienceMust be detail-oriented, dependable, and highly organizedA Top-Secret clearance is required
