Property Management Officer
The Property Management Officer Intern supports TSA’s Acquisition Program Management (APM) by managing the end-to-end lifecycle of specialized transportation security equipment (TSE). This includes asset accountability, procurement coordination, contract oversight, records maintenance, compliance audits, and stakeholder collaboration. Interns will assist with reconciling equipment inventories, contributing to loss investigations, and aligning acquisition activities with government property regulations. They will also learn how to navigate TSA’s property management systems and support the responsibilities of Contracting Officer Representatives (COR).
ABOUT THE JOB
Serves as the Government Property Program and Property Administrator for specialized transportation security equipment purchased by the Acquisition Program Management (APM), and ensures that appropriate property management regulations and laws are followed. Assists in providing advice and guidance on Government property regulations, policies, procedures and practices regarding specialized equipment; Serve as a staff advisor/auditor for execution of the purchase delivery of APM's Government property. Provides acquisition support in evaluating property contracts, ensuring against conflict with government property regulations and laws. Review business cases, requirements documents, and cost estimates to ensure that proposed acquisitions have been clearly defined along with descriptions. Assist the Contracting Officer Representative and Task Monitor for contractor employees serving as property control custodians and for support services to Include technical support for Government property purchased by APM.
RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of asset accountability, procurement coordination, contract oversight, records maintenance, compliance audits, and stakeholder collaboration.
- Ability to review business cases, requirements documents, and cost estimates to ensure clarity and compliance with government property regulations.
- Experience or capability to assist Contracting Officer Representative and Task Monitor for contractor employees serving as property control custodians.
