Sunbelt Rentals SkillBridge Program
Sunbelt Rentals is a Commercial and Residential Equipment Rental Company. We currently have over 1000 locations located within the Continental United States and have over 17000 employees. The Sunbelt Rentals SkillBridge program is designed to provide a structured training program at any of our locations throughout the United States. This program will provide all the tools to leverage the peer and manager teaching that happens at our branches every day to ensure each Service Member knows what their post transition role is, how to perform that role at the highest level and where to go for help when needed. During the program, Service Members will work to learn through guided on-the-job experience, on-line coursework and regular discussions with leaders. Ultimately, we want Service Members to feel valued for their service, welcomed at Sunbelt Rentals and excited for the opportunities ahead of them, determined to excel in this program.

ABOUT THE JOB
All of the Service Members internship and training will occur at a location determined through the interview process, at a location nearest to where they desire to live, which will meet the requirements of the program they are enrolled in. Training will focus on preparing participants for various roles within the organization and the equipment rental industry, including: Mechanics / Technicians (multiple lines of equipment, including General Construction, pumps, power-generation, HVAC, and more), Drivers (Class A and Class B CDL), Logistics / Dispatcher, Equipment Rental Specialist, Outside Sales (non-commission), Recruiting and Management Training programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leverage peer and manager teaching at our branches
- Learn through guided on-the-job experience
- Complete online coursework
- Participate in regular discussions with leaders
QUALIFICATIONS
- Background in mechanics, machine maintenance, or equipment repair
- Experience in avionics, electronics, or hydraulics
- Experience as a heavy equipment operator or in construction equipment repair
- Background in logistics, recruiting, or administrative roles
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY
The ideal candidate will have a background in mechanics, machine maintenance, equipment repair, avionics, electronics, hydraulics, heavy equipment operator, construction equipment repair, light wheel mechanics, engine mechanics, logistics, recruiting, administrative, motor transport, and other backgrounds which may fit into Sunbelt Rentals.
