Training for Field Service Engineer
The Field Service Engineer is a field-based position responsible for customer support activities focusing on troubleshooting, engineering, service engineering, repair, commissioning, start-up training, and preventative and corrective maintenance of scientific instrumentation. The successful field service engineer must have the ability to utilize proven troubleshooting processes to diagnose and resolve technical issues on various electromechanical instruments.
ABOUT THE JOB
Minimum, two-year Electronics or Mechanical engineering degree50% to 70% Majority of travel is within North America, and travel is typically by airplane. Some international travel will be required.Must have a valid passport and driver’s license When not traveling working out of Medford (Boston), MA facility Basic knowledge of electronics and customer service procedures; hands-on troubleshooting control systems and instrumentation; ability to use test equipment such as oscilloscopes and volt meters. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Troubleshooting, engineering, service engineering, repair, commissioning, start-up training, and preventative and corrective maintenance of scientific instrumentation

QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum two-year Electronics or Mechanical engineering degree
- 50% to 70% travel, majority within North America, some international travel required
- Valid passport and driver’s license
- Basic knowledge of electronics and customer service procedures
- Hands-on troubleshooting control systems and instrumentation
- Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand and squat for extended periods
