Medical Program Director
The EMS Medical Program Director (MPD) is responsible for overseeing all Basic Life Support (BLS) operations within the Fire District. This includes managing BLS medical personnel, developing and implementing EMS Protocols, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and leading the department's Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Improvement (QI) programs. The MPD will also develop and manage a Run Review Process to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of patient care during BLS EMS responses. Additionally, the director will design and implement Continuing Education (CE) programs for Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to ensure they stay up-to-date with the latest pre-hospital care practices. The director is also expected to attend Island County EMS Council meetings and participate in discussions to help improve EMS operations at a local level.

RESPONSIBILITIES
