Semper Tek Construction Superintendent, Program Manager, or Estimator
Semper Tek, Inc. (STI) Is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and Prime Contractor that believes in the quality and character of transitioning military service members. We strive to train and hire military veterans into our Government Contracting Construction Management business as Program Managers in Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, and Florida. The internship will take place in either Lexington, KY (STI Headquarters), or Valdosta, GA (Southeast Division office), with occasional trips to various job sites in KY, TN, and/or GA (some opportunities exist in AL, FL, and IN when conditions allow).
ABOUT THE JOB
A Construction Program Manager oversees and coordinates multiple related construction projects within a broader program, aligning them with the organization's strategic goals and ensuring efficient resource allocation and overall program success. Key responsibilities, skills, and qualifications:Program Planning and Strategy: Developing and implementing program strategies that align with organizational goals.Project Oversight: Overseeing and managing multiple interrelated projects within the program simultaneously.Resource Allocation: Optimizing the allocation of resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, across projects within the program.Budget Management: Developing and managing the overall program budget, monitoring costs, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.Risk Management: Identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks at both the program and project levels.Stakeholder Management: Fostering collaboration among project teams and stakeholders, including clients, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.Communication: Establishing clear lines of communication and providing regular progress updates to stakeholders and senior management.Program Governance: Defining roles and responsibilities, conducting regular governance meetings, and establishing mechanisms for monitoring program performance.Compliance: Ensuring compliance with all applicable building codes, safety regulations, and legal requirements. - Relevant certifications like Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) are often preferred, but not required to apply.
- Strong Leadership and Management Skills: Ability to inspire, motivate, and guide teams, make decisions, and manage conflicts effectively.
