Walton County Board of County Commissioners - Internship

The goal of this internship is to provide the DoD SkillBridge Intern with the training necessary to successfully find employment within Walton County Board of County Commissioners’. By leveraging the intern's experience and Walton County Board of County Commissioners’ training, a career with the company could begin as soon as the intern departs active duty.

ABOUT THE JOB

Positions available through the internship program include but are not limited to the following positions:Emergency Management assist with the responsibilities of development and revision of emergency plans as required by local, State, and/or Federal guidelines, coordinating operational and logistical services and resources prior to, during, and after emergencies and/or disasters.Human Resources involves managing and developing an organization's employees. This includes recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, and overseeing employee relations, benefits, and compensation. HR also ensures compliance with labor laws and plays a strategic role in talent management and organizational development. Recreation Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing recreational activities and programs for individuals or groups within a community or organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and develop an organization's employees, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, and overseeing employee relations, benefits, and compensation.

• Plan, organize, and implement recreational activities and programs for individuals or groups within a community or organization.
