August Schell Enterprises (ASE) is a cybersecurity and engineering government contractor supporting DoD, Intelligence Community, and Federal Civilian agencies.The ASE SkillBridge Internship Program provides transitioning Service Members hands-on training in cybersecurity operations, CMMC compliance, SIEM engineering, vulnerability management, and federal consulting delivery.Participants will receive structured technical training, mentorship from senior engineers, exposure to live federal client environments, and professional development aligned to full-time employment opportunities within ASE upon successful program completion.
SkillBridge Interns will train alongside ASE’s Security and Engineering teams and may gain experience in:CMMC/NIST 800-171 assessments and documentationSecurity Information & Event Management (SIEM) operations (Splunk/Cisco platforms)Vulnerability Management lifecycleRisk assessment and compliance reportingFederal consulting delivery methodologyIncident response fundamentalsDocumentation, SSP development, and POA&M managementClient communication and briefing preparationCertification preparation support (Security+, CySA+, CISSP pathway, etc.)This is a training Internship. Participants are not employees during SkillBridge but may be considered for full-time employment upon completion of the Internship program.

Primary training occurs onsite at ASE’s Rockville, MD corporate headquarters, with limited hybrid flexibility depending on training module and security requirements.
