The County of San Mateo is hosting an internship opportunity with the Human Resources Department. This internship will focus on learning all the requirements expected of a HR Talent Acquisition Tech Representative. The intern will assist the HR department on a variety of representative tasks.
ABOUT THE JOB
The position of Human Resources Technician within the county’s Talent Acquisition Division is an excellent opportunity for those interested in pursuing or continuing a career in the human resources field. The selected candidates must value the role of human resources in supporting a well-qualified, engaged, and highly productive work force. The Talent Acquisition Division provides innovative and fair recruitment services to departments and applicants, ensuring the County employs a qualified and diverse workforce to deliver essential services to the public. The intern will provide support for every aspect of the County's recruitment and selection activities, including pre-recruitment planning meetings, test development, Civil Service examination administration, and processing new hires, promotions, and temporary appointments. Using the County's applicant tracking system (NEOGOV), the intern will monitor recruitment and applicant activities for their assigned team and respond to inquiries from applicants. The intern must be able to effectively coordinate multiple calendars and track a variety of tasks and events. They must also be a confident communicator who can effectively and appropriately represent the division and the County to the public.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide support for every aspect of the County's recruitment and selection activities
