IT Project Manager FellowThis internship will provide a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project management within a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Under the guidance of an experienced manager/mentor, the Project Manager Intern will independently manage project completion within a specific unit or department. This role involves high levels of cross-functional integration and management of multiple disciplines. The intern will oversee small projects or manage one or more large tasks within larger projects. This role is designed to provide active training, coaching, mentoring, and continuous feedback to ensure success.

This role is designed to provide active training, coaching, mentoring, and continuous feedback to ensure success.Primary Responsibilities:• Independently manage projects, ensuring successful completion within the specified unit or department.• Perform project management oversight of small projects or large tasks within larger projects.• Utilize knowledge of project management principles, such as Agile, to drive project success.• Responsible for workflow and performance management.• Promote and foster a welcoming, innovative, and Agile work environment.• Identify and address issues and dependencies across a portfolio of projects.• Act as a trusted advisor with a service mindset approach.Qualifications:• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.• Familiarity with information technology applications, processes, software, and equipment.• Understanding of project management principles (e.g., Agile).• Demonstrated ability in cross-functional project leadership.• Exemplary team performance skills and the ability to take a service-oriented approach.• Proactive attitude that supports an Agile working environment.• Preferred: PMP or other relevant certification (e.g., Scrum Master).What We Offer:• Hands-on experience in managing IT projects.• Mentorship from experienced professionals.• Continuous opportunities for feedback and professional development.• Welcoming and innovative work environment.• Potential for career growth and a path to a permanent role within the organization.Program Eligibility Requirements: To participate in Harvard’s DOD SkillBridge Fellowship program, you must meet the minimum eligibility requirements as listed on the DOD SkillBridge FAQ website.
