Data Scientist

In this role, you will design and develop predictive models to enhance Navy operational readiness, using advanced data analysis to identify trends and reduce the risk of mishaps. You will support optimization initiatives aimed at driving cost savings and improving mission success, while collaborating closely with analysts and developers to build dashboards and compelling data visualizations. By applying machine learning techniques and statistical models to safety, logistics, and operational data, you will generate actionable insights and contribute to data-driven decision-making. Your ability to interpret and clearly communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences will be essential in ensuring the successful implementation of analytical solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Active DoD Secret clearance (or higher), with ability to maintain.
• A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with data analytics or engineering in any military or civilian setting.
• Familiarity with databases (SQL, Oracle, AWS/Azure environments).
• Experience with data visualization using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or R Shiny.
• Programming experience in Python, R, SQL, or similar languages.
• Understanding of machine learning methods such as logistic regression, decision trees, and neural networks.

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY
